...Let's cross our fingers.

Look at our Cassidee, she finally has some interest in the potty!
With this child, everything is done in "her" time. Things only get done when "she" wants too.
So here to hoping that she will do it. Both Kenzie and Lanie were almost 3 when they were potty trained, (that might be on the later side) and to this day, no accidents, so I am crossing my fingers that Cassie will "want" to wear panties. We went and bought every kind we could find from Disney Princesses, High School Musical, Little Miss Sunshine, and Hello Kitty.
One day we were "trying" the Potty thing and she was running around the house in Mermaid panties and had an accident, she comes to me and said Mermaid just wanted to get wet and go for a swim. Not ready then...
...then we were talking about how the older girls have scooters and Cassie wanted one..."Not till there was a Poopie in the potty" is what we told her, so since then she has been "trying"
We went to Target and we found the scooter and she wanted it to the point of tears...to get her to stop we bought it, BUT told her she knew what she had to do.
All day today she was caring the box around wanted us to get it out; it took everything I got to not open it and give in. I knew that I need to start strong with this one.
Well, after dinner we tried again and she sat and sat and sat and sat, but the next thing I heard was the tinkle in the potty!!! Yeah! she went!!! We all clapped and yelled. The bigger the "Party" the better. She was excited and "thought" she got the scooter, Nope, gum instead. So again after the tub we tried again ( we knew she had consumed water then) and this time she did it quick. Yeah!!!
So now that she has done it, there is no need to be scared, we hope. Now I hope it will be easier for her knowing that she CAN do it.
So in the morning, we will be "trying" again and this time lets hope for poop. I will for sure let you all know when she gets her scooter.
*** Carson had NO desire to use the potty, but the two of them are so "monkey see monkey do" that I hope interest will start once Cassie starts to use the potty. Plus I told Dan that Carson is ALL his, with no brothers of my own, Dan is the only guy I know and I don't understand the male anatomy, so the two of them can "bond" together. ***
Love to hear any ideas for training girls OR especially boys, I am all ears. Bring it on, I can't wait for the day where I don't have to buy diapers anymore. One in diapers in costly, but two is even more so.

all I can say is good luck! I've only successfully potty trained a girl and the secret with her was to have the potty in the same room as she played and at first she had to be naked. I'm still working on my boy!
Yeah Cassie! Come on girl... get the scooter :)
Christy... stay strong. Don't give her the scooter until she's earned it.
