Lions, Tigers, and Bears Oh My...

Due to the weather of Snow, (I know, it's the first day of May, there is suppose to be NO MORE SNOW!) Lanie's class field trip to the outdoors in the cold petting zoo has now turned to the warm indoors at Cabela's Sporting Goods store... Corina was cute saying this was better; no stinky animals to smell and your not having to "watch" your step.
The kids didn't seem to care and I know that Lanie loved it, it is something she gets to do often; either with her Paps or Opa.

We were able to watch the fish in their tanks...it is surly a fisher mens dream. There were some BIG fish in there. I wonder if the fish know just how "LUCKY" they are??? Just a thought.

Look closely at the tank, we got to see a "diver" cleaning the tank. The kids were more in awh with that then the fish.

Here is Cassie showing me how the fish make their faces...She was trying to talk with them, but would just get mad that they wouldn't "talk" back.

Since Lanie has been going to this preschool, she has meet some really good friends.

Here Lanie is with Bella, these two girls are quite a pair and have a good time together. Lanie is sad because the two of them will be in different Kindergartens. They will have to play all summer. Girls are funny that way.

The kids were able to go and feed the fish and look at all the "stuffed" animals. It was a fun day for the kids and even more fun for me; the mom. It was good to see that Lanie (or any of my kids) can enjoy life and listen to directions from other people then myself. To know that she is an example, I guess what I am saying is; that my kids are growing up and slowly they are becoming independent, and not "needing" me as much. WOW! That is a weird thought!
***I think as parents, we think that "that" day will never come and that we have sooooo much time, then we blink and their all grown up.
And the days that we thought were "crazy" are now quite and we are wanting the "noise" back. I know I have days like that all the time: I heard a song that made we stop and think...Listen to the song by Trace Adkins (Country) call "you're going miss this." Think about it.***
WOW! I got off the field trip topic. It was a fun day and I am glad that I was able to spend the afternoon with the kids.
And it all worked out, even though there was snow, the kids now will get two field trip, "the petting zoo we'll try again later on this month" says Miss Kim. "YES!" shouts Lanie.
