It is hard to believe that it is time for the "BIG" 5 year old checkup to get ready for Kindergarten. This was the dreaded appointment, Lanie knew that she had to get shots, but to be able to go to Kindergarten, she had to get them done.
At the checkup, Lanie measures in at 44.5 inches tall which is 50% and 47 lbs. for weight, which is 75%. She did great on her eye test and is growing great.
When it was time for the shots, she was brave. The one on her finger was the one she didn't mind, but the four in the legs, now that is another story. She asked the doctor, when does she have to get shots again..."not till you are 12" Lanie was glad to hear that.
The doctor told her to remember to wear her seat belt with her booster. To only watch 2 hours of TV during the summer and play outside lots. To read and help your parents with chores. I was glad to hear that and made sure Lanie heard that too. When that was done, she got a goodie bag and was ready to be done with that place.
To make things better, Lanie got to pick where dinner was at...Without any hesitation, she picked Wendy's. Go Figure, it's Lanie, and we all went in.
Lanie, it makes me happy and blessed to know that you are a happy and healthy little girl. To know that you are growing just like you should and you are a brave girl. Now nothing is stopping Lanie from going to Kindergarten.

Kennedy just went in for hers too, so glad it's over with! Now we can be excited for Kindergarten.
