It's out...

...and she pulled it herself!
We were all eatting chicken for dinner, Lanie runs to the bathroom and then comes out with toliet paper in her mouth. I asked her what she was doing, and she told me that she pulled her tooth. And she really did!

She said that is was getting in the way when she was eatting dinner and she was getting tired of not being able to eat, so she wanted it out and she took care of it.
So now again the tooth fairy will be coming to our home tonight.

Lanie is a smart girl, she knows that now she is getting money. In the past, she had to watch Mackenzie get all the money and attention, WELL, now it was all her. She got to call Nana/Pappy and Opa/Oma. She called her "Boyfriend" Conner and her cousins too. She wasn't done there, She tried calling her Idaho "boyfriend" Bryant, but no answer. We finally had to tell her no more calls. She is already trying to decied what she is going to buy with "her" money. She was so proud of herself as you can see in her pictures.

I forget at times that she is 5 years old.

Our little girl is growing up, next it's school, then dating and driving, and boys; oh my!

"My" prophet has returned home to our Father in Heaven.

(CNN) -- Mormon leader Gordon B. Hinckley died Sunday night at age 97, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints announced.
Today is a sad day; Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley has died. We (as members) all knew that this day would come, but to actually hear it, caught me by surprise.
President Hickley was "MY" prophet; I was 15 when he became the prophet of the church. He is a man that I truly loved. I enjoyed listening to his wisdom and cute sense of humor. I will remember how his voice would crack when he spoke. He spoke the truth.
A man that so many looked up to in faith and love. He is a man of God. I know this. He spoke with our Heavenly Father; received revelation from him. He was a man of hard work and determination. He will be remembered for all of the 72 temples he had built.
I know that he is a man of God, that He is the true prophet of the church. I know that He now lives with God and that now he will live for all of eternity with his wife and God.
He will be missed, but I know that he is truly in a much better and happier place. I will hold his teaching close to my heart.

Is this normal???

It is in our home!!!
This is Carson and yeah HE is wearing a PINK DRESS and a CROWN!!!
HE thinks he is PRETTY and with THREE sisters; HE is DOOMED!!!
Oh well, HE is CUTE and HE does KNOW what a FOOTBALL is, so he has that going for him...
RIGHT?!?!?

AAAAAAAAUH! Snake!

Or so I thought...
I was walking out to the garage and this is what I saw.
I Peed my pants, no joke!
I was on the phone with Dan and screamed in his ear and then started to laugh when Cassie went over to pick up the snake.
The thought of a grown women jumping and giving out a scream I am sure was a sight.
I won't want anyone else to see it. I HATE snakes and to see "one" really caught me off guard.
Cassie went over and picked it up and was imitating me; yelling and chasing me with it.
She thought she was pretty funny.
I can laugh at it now, but who ever did it, sure got me and no one is taking credit for putting it there. See we have a "NO Scare" rule in our home, because I am a baby.

Here is Cassie showing me that is it OK to touch it and eat it; Showing me that it is not real.
Wow! After that needless to say, I was on my toes the rest of the afternoon.

28 years ago today...

I was born!!!
Today is my day...Happy Birthday to ME!!!
Since my birthday was on Sunday this year, Dan took my out Friday AND Saturday this year. He is always so good to me. Love you babe!
Friday night we went to Johnny Corinos' for dinner; soooo yummy!!! Dan and I were stuffed when we left. I highly recomond the resterant to all.
Check out the "birthday" dessert" they brought out to me: ice-cream and a moist warm brownie. YUM!!!

After dinner, we headed off to the Best Salon in the world, OK at least here in Lehi,Utah.... La Villa Salon. They are known for their glitter toes; women from all over the state come to get their toes pretty here.

Check out their website: http://www.lavillasalon.com/

There Dan and I had a couples' massage. It was the best hour I have had in a long time. Can you see how relaxed I look. Thanks Irene for the best massage ever. You gave me goosebumps and the warm towels are the best. I will for sure be re booking again real soon.

Saturday Dan and I went out with some friends to PF Changs (Another yummy place) and then went out to see the movie 27 Dresses. I have a new Hollywood crush (you can read that post after this one...) It was a fun night. Neighbors/friends make life more fun. Thanks again Brett and Corina. You guys are the best!

Here is my birthday cake: count the candles, there are 28. Wow! It took 3 tries to blow out all the candles. The kids thought it smelled like fireworks when all the candles were out.
Not only was the cake pretty, it tasted amazing!

It was chocolate cake with peppermint cream stuff. Dan had it made just for me at one of our local places called Kneaders. They are known for their breads and desserts.

Thanks Kneaders!

Here I am opening some of my gifts.

Between my Family and my friends, I am so lucky. They really know how to make me feel special and how to spoil me.

With birthdays coming only once a year, you need to live them up! I am not scared of getting older, I believe that you are as old as you believe. In fact, It is better to get older with each passing year, if not, think where you would be...dead. Enjoy you birthdays and welcome each one. Celebrate YOU; and that is something I sure did this year!

My new Hollywood Crush is...

Jason Marsden!!!Oh, He is such a cutie!!! This weekend Dan and I went out with some friends (thanks Brett and Corina for a fun date) to see the new release of 27 Dresses. First of all, so cute! So predicable, but so worth it. It is a chick flick, but Dan did enjoy it and I really really enjoyed it.
I just fell in love with him; Kevin is his name in the movie. How can you not with that smile and beautiful blue eyes. So, sorry Mathew McConaughey, you have been replaced for my newest Hollywood crush... Jason Marsden!
Some of the other movies James has been in are: Hairspray(Another one of my favorite movies, I was Tracy Turnblad for Halloween) He was Corny Collins; the tv show host.
He was also in the current Disney movie Enchanted, he is the prince. He can be my prince any day. :)
Also, X-men and another favorite The NoteBook.

If you agree with me, leave me a comment and let me know what is your favorite movie is that Jason has been in.
XOXOX

Mackenzie's Tooth Moment:

Here is a call out to the Tooth Fairy...

Here was our evening...

Now you have to know Mackenzie, she is the sweetest girl, but bless her heart, she hates pain and has No tolerance for it. Every time she has a loose tooth, she doesn't tell us and we end up finding out, because she stops eating. Well, tonight her tooth was just hanging there, and she was upset. So we had her try wiggling it.

To make a long story short, she tried and then I said, let's have Dad try. She gave him 10 seconds and I had to hold her and her eyes had to be closed.

As you can see from the pictures, It came out and in a matter of seconds!!! And she even gave us a laugh and a thumbs up.

This is tooth number 7 that Kenzie has lost. The poor tooth fairy is feeling it. Every time she has come, she leaves $1.00 bill, quarter, nickle, dime, and two pennies. Something she has done for years, Dan can even remember that when he was a kid. :)

Be watching in the next few weeks, Lanie has Her FIRST loose tooth.

A moment like this...

doesn't happen too often!!!

A few days ago, Delanie caught this "not so normal" moment with the camera.
All three of us were out, I was surprised that Carson and Cassie both fell asleep.
We were rocking and I was humming them a song and next thing I knew was I was awoken with the flash of the camera in my face.
Believe me, I was surprised to see a flash, but also threatened Lanie's dear life not to wake up the twins; for this is a rare moment in our household.
Yes, I can still get the twins to nap here and there,( Not enough though)
I wish I could get more "Me" time during the day, when I don't have such big helpers. I don't know what is worse: holding them ALL day having to look at the messy house OR cleaning one room, then going to work on another and having the twins mess up the first room that I just finished.
It was nice to be able to snuggle them in the quite and and enjoy the moment that doesn't come all to often.
Gotta Love 2 year old Twins, each day is it's own and you NEVER know what each day will bring, but when you get a moment like this, it makes it all worth it.

Mr. Fix-it please...

This this the finished door, all looks good now, but it was a interesting Saturday morning. It is weird to go and open your front door and it doesn't open, so our Saturday morning began.
Off to Home Depot we go, our Saturday activities are on hold.
Dan smiles and poses with the door handles, so many choices. I am off looking at new doors just in case.
Beasty and I are hanging out at home Depot, watching the free demos. I did learn how to build a wooden castle bank and was about to learn how to install a whole house humidifier. Gotta love Home Depot.
After all said and done and getting it re keyed, out total purchase isn't too bad.
We have for sure have done worse there before.

Back at home, trying to fix the door. Hopefully managing 44 apartment units for 4 years will pay off. So far, this is really the only thing Dan has had to fix on our home. Knock on wood.
The house is now going on it's 5 winter, wow! we have been here that long!
We have made some great memories in this home.
I have a saying on my wall that says:
Home
Though you feet my sometimes leave, your heart will always stay.

Well, you can see from the above picture that the guys finally got the door fixed with only one more trip to Home Depot, I guess the new knob was reversed, I not sure, but the man at Home Depot seemed to fix it for them.

No more cold air coming through that hole and it is nice to be able to go and open the front door and NOW it will open up the first time.

Now Let's get ready for our normal Saturday activities...later dinner with us all for my upcoming birthday. Watch for that next posting. Nothing can ever be normal for our family.

which is which?

Which is which??? I always tease "Beast" aka Kristin that she looks like the country singer Taylor Swift. She doesn't see it, but even complete strangers have told her that she looks like her. We went out to Target, and I swear to you, people were starring at her, maybe it could have been we were in our cozies, but she as close to hanging with the famous as I get.

Maybe it's the smile or the eyes, but they could be the same OR at least sisters. Both are young, beautiful, talented, with the world ahead of them.
Good luck Beast in New York City, know that if it is too big and crazy ( I know you can take on anything!! ) Know that Utah will always be waiting. Thanks for staying with us and keep us posted. Love ya like Family, but without the Drama!!! ( You know what I mean :) )

we got beat up and we have the bumps to prove it...

Jump and Play Jump and Play: what a fun way to start 2008.
Beasty and the girls have a fun and special bond. The girls love their auntie "Beast."
For New's Years day we took the family to Kangeroo Zoo; a place were the young and old can jump and play on gaint inflateables. It was fun, but also beat us up and reminded us that we may think that we can keep up with the kids, but our bodies aren't what they use to be.

Pappy and Dan show us their war wounds.
Nana going down the 30 foot high slide
Carson loved it all. He is 100% boy; he jumped, climbed, and played hard.
He was all smiles and was non-stop.

The girls are on top of the slide: almost 3 hours of hard play = fun and earily to bed.
Pappy and Cassie full of smiles
It was almost more fun to watch the adults think they were kids: rolling around and jumping; getting beat up. It was more fun then we all thought it would be, next time we are going to take the video camera, and maybe win on "America's Funniest Videos."

2008 is Here!!!

Good-bye 2007!!! It was a good and fun year for us.
Welcome 2008: we are excited to see what this year has in store for us and see what life my brings us. Here is how we brought in the new year... We had our famous "Nacho party" My dad is known for these nachos and we really enjoy them.
Chips, tomatoes, beans, onions, melted cheese with a "Secret" sauce, and guacamole...Yummy!!! "Beasty"aka Kristin Kuapp came down to spend the holidays with us. My girls love her, while she is here, Nana gets pushed aside and that means a lot.
Feef is really enjoying these!!!
The chef himself, he is quite proud of himself.

After dinner we all played guitar hero for the Wii, Dan must have been very good for Christmas, Santa was able to find it and bring it to him.
We all had the inner rockers come out, we got down and rockin'
Wow! I think these two might have found a new job.

We played games and watched Dick Clark's new years rockin' eve.
That is how "Wild and Crazy" you get when you have 4 kids at home.

If anyone else watched it, I felt bad for Dick Clark. Wow! He looks good for his age, but I didn't know if he was going to make it till Midnight. Ryan Secrest is no Dick Clark. Dick and New Years just go together.

Here is Nana sporting her 2008 glasses. I think she is ready to welcome in the new year.
It is midnight: Welcome 2008!!
Little Mackenzie made it till midnight. She was so proud of herself and thought that she was pretty big.

Here is the whole bunch, ready to party!

Hope you and your family had a great 2007 and an even better 2008!
To Health, Family, Home, Religion, Wealth, Happiness and Love; I wish these things and more for you this upcoming year!
