...Is what we heard Delanie say over the screaming from up stairs.

Look at Cassie's fat lip: this was after Dan got her cleaned up.

Dan runs up stairs to find Cassie with blood all over, Dan runs downstairs, asking for some help and the next thing I knew was Dan putting Cassie fully dresses in the sink to wash off the blood.

In the mean time, Kenzie is freakin' out cause she doesn't want to see any blood and is crying cause blood is scary. We have a hands full with this Drama Queen.

Carson is saying over and over like a broken record; Cassie hurt, Cassie hurt, Cassie hurt.
And Delanie is making sure that we know that she didn't do it.

I am a believer in scars...I think that they are proof that you live life. Each scar has a story, but bless this little girls heart, she is not graceful, so she has already has scars of life, and chalk up another one.

...these are a Migraine in a Bag for me, but they are soooooo worth it!There is something about Easter candy that I think is the best candy all year round.

These Cadbury mini eggs are my absolute favorite and Corina brought me my first (and it won't be the last) bag of this season. Notice she even brought me the Family Size. A girl after my own heart. There's no messing around with these sweet treats!

Just look how pretty they are! You know that they are made with the best chocolate and the pretty hard shells are so tasty. I usually buy 4-5 bags during this time of year, so I can enjoy them even after Easter. I know, it's silly, but something soooo yummy, shouldn't be messed with or passed up on.

What a great surprise!

There was a knock on the door, and when we opened the door, guess who we saw...

Great-Grandpa and Grandma!!!Grandma and Grandpa Casper drove all the way from Oregon to come and see us.

What a great Surprise! (literally) We got a phone call at 9 AM in the morning and by 1:00 they were here.

It has been since last July since the kids have seen them. It was fun to catch up with them.
The kids had fun "showing off" for them; showing them how they can dance, all of their toys had to come out to show off, and Kenzie even showed her drawings.

There is something about grandparnets that you hold close to your heart. I remember feeding the ducks with grandpa as a kids and grandma was always cooking the very best cookies. She would keep extras in the freezer for when the grandkids would come. I remember when grandma would give me a perm in her kitchen or playing on their organ and hearing grandma sing in the background and there was nothing better then Grandpa's fresh corn from his famous (at least in the neighborhood) garden.
Now with Grandpa being 81 and Grandma 76, these memories and so many more I treasure and come to relized with my own kids and their grandparents, just how special of a bond they have. My kids are lucky to have both Dan's (Opa and Oma) and my parents (Nana and Pappy) around in their lives and they think the world of them. (It goes both ways.)

So with some great photos and chats, it was fun to have Grandma and Grandpa for a visit.
Something that Grandma said to my sister and me that I will remember is; "she is proud of us and the choices we have made in our lives to be able to have the the blessings that we have."

After dinner at the Pizza Factory, (I love their breadsticks...Yum!) we went to Feef's and Kory's house and visited a bit more.

After hugs and kisses, they were on their way down south, but I wouldn't have wanted to miss this day for anything. It was great to sit down and have those moments to hold on to.

We love you Grandpa and Grandma! Thanks for the visit, we'll see you again in July! (it is going to be my 10 year class reunion...Wow! Has it really been that long!?!?)

NEW YORK (Feb. 22) - Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins early Friday, making the singer and husband Marc Anthony the parents of a boy and a girl after one of pop music's most closely watched pregnancies.

Lopez representative Simon Fields told People magazine the babies were born shortly after midnight on New York's Long Island, with the 5-pound, 7-ounce girl arriving first, followed by her 6-pound brother minutes later. The location was not identified.

"Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon," Fields told the magazine.

***Jennifer and I may not have the same voice, or looks, or even the same dance moves; but one thing we DO have in common is.... We both gave birth to both Boy/Girl Twins!

Anyways, my congrats to the happy couple and to many, many, many sleepless nights!

Oh wait, they have help, so I guess that I am a better mom/"role model" for doing it by my self (and Dan.)

So one of my really good friends (thanks Jenny and Bryant) bought this shirt for our Miss Cassidee. They thought it was 100% her after they spent a week with the kids while Dan and I were on the crusie; and they couldn't be more RIGHT!
Cassie is our holly terror to give you it in a nut shell. Don't let that sweet smile fool you, she can out run, out last, out smart, any kid or parent. She loves being the center of attenation and have people laugh at her. She can be extremly sneeky and loves to keep me on my toes. She is the one that is the instagator in all things.
One thing I have learned from Cassie is she will take life by the horns and just go for it. NOTHING will stop her and get in her way.

The Lord gave her to me to help me with patience and to enjoy each day to the fullest.

Thou this little girl gives my headaches and brings extra stress into my life, (and what kid doesn't at any age...right???) I love her with all my heart and always will even if she stays the Little Stinker that she is, (but lets cross our fingers it is just a stage.)

Better go, it's qutie and who knows what she is doing and getting her and Carson into!

What's Poppin'?

"What is that?" was the question Kenzie and Lanie asked.

"It's a Popcorn Popper!" "no, that is what the micowave is for." You can tell by the picture the kids are in amazment over a simple kitchen tool.

They thought it was cool to watch it and wonder how it worked.

It is funny how "Old School" things that I grew-up with are forgotton with an "easier" way of life. (and I am really not that "Old School")

So it got me thinking about what my kids have now that I didn't have/ how life has improved...

I know I am lucky, but this past valentines was a great reminder of it.

On his Own, Dan decided to not just celebrate valentines on the 14th, but to have a count down to valentines; which with each day, he gave me something.

I am so proud of the time and thought he put into this.

It was fun each day to see what he would do.

Here is a list of the different things he did...

Feb. 1st: a "Stuffed" balloon with candy and a pedi with gittler toes. Check out the bling on my toes. The picture doesn't show, but they sparkle!

Feb. 2nd: a 90 mintue massage at Lavilla Salon as well as some yummy "Juicy" purfume.

Feb. 3rd: Heart necklace and earrings

Feb. 4th: red tulips in a red vase

Feb. 5th: Stayed home from work and a relaxing bubble bath with some pretty smelly stuff from bath and body works.

Feb. 6th: wroght iron heart and some cinnomon lip candy

Feb. 7th: a new outfit

Feb. 8th: valentine cupcake mix and something pretty for the bedroom :)

Feb. 9th: a bear from build-a-bear -He named him "lucky?"

Feb. 10th: a hot pink hair CHI flat iron
Feb. 11th: a red purse with a gift card for a dinner out

Feb. 12th: a dozon roses and a "fake" cake for my kitchen table

Feb: 13th: a night of romance...
We had to have valentines night then, because on...

Feb 14th: my mom flew into town

I know that all men aren't like this, he is one in a million. I tease him that I am having withdraws not having a gift eachday.

I know that he didn't have to do that, he did it because he loves me. I told you all that I am a lucky girl and Dan truly is a super great guy.

Happy Valentines Day! I love valentines day, maybe it's because I am a hopeless romatic, (you will have to see what Dan has done for me this valentines day, watch in future post)
I am so lucky to have my kids and Dan.

How crazy my life may be, I love them so much.

They are my world! The joy that they bring me is priceless.

These are some of my favorite pictures. I love how the kids are happy and you can tell that they really love eachother ( and the M&M's used as a bribe also helped.)

Valentines day is a good day to remember the ones we love and just how much you love and care about them. Life is short and family is all you have when you leave this world.

Go tell someone special that you love them!

This is BIG for us, especially ME!
Growing up in Oregon, we had the Best water and living here in Utah for the past 9 years, I was unable to drink the tap water. Believe me, I am not laying, it is kuckie.
I could drink it with a mix-in or juice, but not by itself!
So I would drink lots of Diet coke/Diet Dr. pepper or bottled water,
BUT,
that all changes tonight and it was a bit weird to ask for "water please" and
actually enjoy it!
Thanks "Culligan man!" Who knew that I could live in Utah and still drink the water!

My little Tinkerbell...

There is something about a little girl and dress-up that makes a great photo opt.

Cassie just loves dress-up and has to wear it at least once a day,

well, today she wanted to be tinkerbell.

Tink is a personally favorite at our home; When Kenzie was little; about the age of Cassie now, she gave us all Disney names. (Dan Prince Charming, Me Snow White, Nana Tinkerbell, Paps Buzz Lightyear, Feef the mean witch and so on) Well, Kenzie being the kid that annilizes everything had meaning for each person...Where I am going with this is Nana was Tinkerbell because she Flies on a airplane to see her. (Smart little girl, even from a young age.) Well it has since stuck...Nana is still Tink and we are alittle bioas to Tinkerbell and so is Nana.

So here is our cute little Tinkerbell, Happy and Sassy as the real thing!

Yesterday Dan and I got to go with Kenzie to her parent/teacher conference.

Here she is sitting very proudfully at her desk.

She was very proud to show us her classroom. Show us where she learns and where she plays.
She wanted to make sure that we saw all of her pictures on the wall.
It was a proud moment for her, but even more so for me. I knew that I was lucky to have her for a kid, but I think we forget just how lucky we really are.
It was good to meet with Ms. Brock and hear of all of Mackenzie's strengths:

Artistic

Friendly to all

Smart: up to par with all things; reading and writing

Great writing and easy to read

Gaining more and more confidence to raise hand and answer questions

All around great kid and student!

Sometimes as a parent I forget that time does go on and that my little girl is growing up, and I take for granted that she is a good girl. It was good for Dan and I both to hear from someone else that she really is a Star Student.

I know that Mackenzie will go far in life and will be able to do whatever she puts her mind at and will be succussfull at it.

Way to go girl!
