Blast from the Past...

I got to relive my Prom (80s style) and by the pictures I think you can tell we had a blast!!!

Dan and I went to Boise for the weekend to celebrate Jenny's (thirty-something) birthday and what she wanted to do was go to the prom.
The local radio station was throwing it for adults to relive their prom, weather it was to go with the "right" person or to make new memories of a "new" prom. See I was excited for that, I didn't want to remember my High school Prom, in fact, it was a night I wanted to forget, but that is the past and that is where it will stay. Dan is a great guy, he really went with the flow, he didn't want the wig, didn't want the tattoo, and didn't want those pants, but he knew that it was "my" prom and wanted it to be fun and FUN is what it was!

The four of us; Jenny, Zac (her husband), Dan and I are a pair of clowns to say the least and we love to enjoy life...everything we do, has to be over the top, so no detail went undone.

We went out to dinner and the looks we got were classic...people didn't know what to think, but can you blame them. While at dinner, we had 6 or so people serve us; we are determined that they all came from the kitchen one by one to take a peek. We got some laughs, but the scary thing is, people really dressed like this in the 80s and what's even more scary...I bought my clothes from the DEB in the mall, so these are real clothes and they are coming back in fashion!!!

At the Prom, we were like celebrities!!! Maybe it was because 98% of the people were dressed in REAL tuxes and formals. People were loving our outfits and wanting to take our pictures. Some guy even brought Dan and I over a condom for "later" Was I really that hot, more like scary, he should have brought a mask instead. Dan did think that it was funny to be able to go "home" with his prom date and it was ok this time.

We danced the night away, ok it was really like 10, but crazy late nights just don't happen much more, even when the kids aren't around.
It was a fun and crazy night and now these are the memories that I will hold on to for years to come.

Current note: When we got home on Sunday and I was showing the girls, Kenzie was in denial that those pictures were her parents. The thoughts that were going through that cute little head of hers, she just couldn't believe that mom and dad could do something like that and to be honest with her, I didn't know that her daddy would either. I did tell Dan though, I think I like the "wild" side of him...it was kinda sexy and fun, different, and crazy all wrap into one. He asked if he should grow his hair out like his "wig;" now your pushing it!
