Spring Time at Opa's and Oma's

Tonight for FHE the kids wanted to spend the evening at Opa's and Oma's,
You see, the kids know that there is so much to do there.
First, when we got there, Opa needed help prepping and planting the garden.
Here is the before shot, we can watch it grow, come Summer there will be corn, tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins, berries, cucumbers, and they will be all fresh!!!
Here is Opa tilling the garden: Someone asked the kids if we had our very own garden in our back yard and Lanie replied, "Why? When my Opa does it for us??" SO here is proof that the kids got dirty and helped in the planting.
We will have to see how the garden grows this year...some of the holes have 10 seeds in them while other may only have 1.

I love this picture of Lanie's hands: The dirt and the finger nail polish.
Such a girl, but it's ok to get dirty.
Another thing to do at Opa's and Oma's is take pictures.
Spring time is such a pretty time, but Opa's yard is beyond perfect, it's beautiful, so I always can find places to stop the kids and get them to smile for a quick shot,

BUT then it's back to play...

The kids are non-stop here!
Either it is playing in the swings, tramp, playhouse, multi slides to go down on OR grandma's jazzie, ( Dan's grandma Peggy had it to ride around when she was alive, now the kids use it around the driveway)

there is so much to do to keep the kids busy and have fun!
This little John Deere tractor use to be Dan's when he was little. (I am trying to find the picture with Dan sitting on it when he was younger...such an 80's classic...I will post it when I find it)
Now C&C enjoy riding on it when they go to Opa's and Oma's.
BUT one of the most favorite things to do at Opa's and Oma's is go fishing in Opa's ponds.
Opa is so very patient with all of his grand kids, all 29 of them!
He gets down at there level and shows them the secrets to catch the fish.
Here is Kenzie with Opa holding up their trophy, just like the pros do!
See, now you know why the kids LOVE going to see their Opa and Oma. (Oh I forgot to mention the can(s) of Pepsi Opa gave the kids to drink on the way home, they were in heaven with those as well.)
Why buy a season pass to the zoo or amazement park, when they have everything at their house.
I love the memories the kids are making when they spend time with Opa and Oma...we know that we as people can't live forever, so the moment that we share with our loved ones should be fun and special, and that is for sure what Opa and Oma have shown us and their grand kids.
We love the both of you so very much and Thanks for the LOVE and SUPPORT you give to us and more importantly, our kids.
