I wouldn't have missed it!

This morning Mackenzie had her 2nd Grade Doughnut Date and she invited me to go with her. I was so excited to be able to go to Mackenzie's classroom and read with her this morning.

Mackenzie is such a sweet girl and she takes all decision making into great thought. She wants to make sure that she doesn't hurt anyone's feelings. For Kindergarten, she invited her Oma and Opa, 1st grade, it was Dan, so this year, I was the one that was invited.

We walked hand in hand together into the school, Kenzie then got her doughnut and got mine too, she picked out the book and she cuddled right up to me. I loved it!

I read the first book and then she read to me then the bell rang to go...

...Kenzie gave me the biggest hug ever.

I can't believe that she is growing up and heaven forbid there ever comes a day when she is embarrassed by me, but I want to treasure this moments while I have them.

I was the lucky one and there is no way I would have missed this day for anything!
