Milestones to Maturity.

Here is step one of growing up...Deodorant!

Kenzie is so cute: She has been playing outside almost everyday since Summer has come, and she has noticed that she sweats...so she has been asking what she needed to do. I being in denial, told her that she was fine and to just shower at night...

...well, being the presintent child that she is, showering was not good enough, and she wanted deodorant of her own. I don't know what age is appreciate for a girl to start using deodorant, but if it is what she wanted and if she would help her feel more comfortable, then let's go get it...a $2.00 Teen Spirit deodorant is nothing, but means so much to me as her mom;
my girl is growing up.
Now I know it's just deodorant, but then comes bra shopping, (Who knows what Dan will do when he see mini bras around the house) then zits, then "that time of the month" and then BOYS and DATING, and then I won't be "cool" anymore!
Oh my!!!
So here's to the first of many milestones that my Mackenzie will go through...We will learn and go through things together.
I promise to have patience with you if you promise to have patience with me.

Um yeah... Bryant's into deoderant too. I don't think he needs it but he wants to be like Zac and me... so I figured what does it hurt.

On a different note, in the second picture on MacKenzie holding the deoderant I noticed a woman in an old fashioned dress dress in the background. What is that? Is it a statue? A dress form? What is the significance?

This is so funny. I was just thinking the other day that my 9 year old son may need to start using it. That is the difference between girls and boys...
Makenzie realized on her own.
Jackson wouldn't even think another second about it. He would go days without a shower if I didn't FORCE him every night. UGH. Boys are so stinky!!!!
What a cutie she is.

Riley has been using it for a few years.

Umm.... I don't think that is a statue... Christy ummm..you have a ghost in your house! That does kinda freak me out though.

Christy, thanks for leaving a post on my blog, I do remember you. If I am not mistaken we had a lot of fun at girls camp :) You have a beautiful family, thanks again, now I can see what you are up to. Drop by anytime.
