California Livin'

This is what gas prices were while we were there... What?!?!?
OK, before I scare you into to never going to California again! I am kidding, but this is the real prices that we paid while we were there, But I wouldn't be surprised if someday soon we have to pay these prices on the picture above. I can't believe how ridiculous gas prices are!!!
So Tuesday we deiced to go do some California Livin' due to all the sun we got on Monday from the beach. Off we go...
Downtown Disney!

This year being that we were down in California over a holiday week, we didn't got to Disneyland this year. (this is something to note, every year that we have been going to California, we have ALWAYS gone to Disneyland, that has been 9 years. I was almost as sad as the kids were not to go. I love the magic you feel when you are at the "Happiest Place on Earth")

Anyways, so we took the kids down to DOWNTOWN DISNEY. It was fun, a bit over-ratted, but how can you compare it to Disneyland...There is no comparison!

The kids did enjoy the candy store and we spent over an hour in the Disney Store; the kids got to pick out their trip treats: Carson picked a super soft Mickey, Lanie picked a glass statue of Minnie that she looks at on her shelf when she has bad dreams at night, Kenzie picked out her school bag and Cassie picked a Little Mermaid doll that you can dress and brush her hair. The best part is Mermaid wears panties and NOW Cassie is showing more interest in wearing panties! Thanks to the $20.00 doll, it might have just saved us that much and more in diapers!

We spent the afternoon there and then off we went to the baseball game. As we drove there, Carson falls asleep!!! I swear, they pick the worst time to nap. So we drove 5 minutes to the baseball field and that is the nap for the day. Not what I was hoping for, but hey, when do you stick to retinue while on vacation??
My very own "Angels" Team

Later Tuesday night, we all went to watch an Anaheim Angels' baseball game.
This was the Carson and Cassie's first baseball game and since we got there a bit early, they were still doing batting practice, so Dan took Carson down to the field to watch. I stayed with the girls at our seats out in the outfield...
...the next thing I see is Dan walking up with Carson and from behind Dan's back, he pulls out a baseball!!! I ask if he bought it, but the Dan proudly shows me the dirt and grass on the ball. Dan caught the ball from when the player hit it!!! He really did it and Carson was so proud of his Dad; Carson said "Dad, you caught it! You win the game!" Dan said it was a priceless moment he got to share with "his" boy and now they have the ball to remember that moment forever!
The game was fun and the kids enjoyed the hot dogs, peanuts, and dip-in-dots. (ice cream) I enjoyed the diet coke (it was a hot evening) and the company of my family. The 7th inning stretch of the song" Take me out to the ball game" was fun and the girls had a good time singing really loud.
A even bigger bonus was the Angels won the game against the Oakland A's. (5 to 3)
California Livin' is really fun things to do and we were tired after they exciting day we had, but don't get me wrong, it is a nice to visit, but UTAH will always be home!
