...for parent/teacher conferences. (dunt dun dun)
Tonight was the night that the girls got to take us back to their school and we as parents got to chit chat with the teachers on the progress of the girls. First, we went to Lanie's Kindergarten class where her teacher Mrs. Mikulecky was waiting for us. Dalenie was excited to see her teacher again and sat and listened to all the good things that her teacher had to say about her.
Lanie's strengths are the following in her teacher's words:
* Plays well with everyone
* Loves to be a helper in class
* Great at all of her drawings
* Knows her "sight words"
* Knows all her letters and sounds
Way to go Delanie! Your teacher says to keep up the good work and keep practicing reading.
Next, was Mackenzie's turn to meet with her teacher, Mrs. Graham. Mackenzie is doing great and enjoys school all the time. It was fun to sit and hear Kenzie's strengths as well.
Here is Mackenzie's strengths:
* Very Respectful
* Wonderful Handwriting
* Words hard to complete assignments
* Each week knows her spelling words
* Reading a second grade level
Way to go Mackenzie!!! Keep up with the good reading and math problems.
These are the kind of meetings Dan and I like to go to, it makes you feel like you (the parent) are doing something right for your kids. I hope that the girls will continue to enjoy school as much as they love it now. I hope they stay as excited to do homework every night and the good reports from teachers continue through the years.
You girls are doing great at school! Keep up the good work!
