See the two of them have been trying to have another child for the past 5 years and they have had their up and downs through the whole thing. In fact, their most recent one was a family in FL. was going to put their baby girl up for adoption in July when she was born and this family had picked Dave, Sheri, Annalyse, and Kylee to be the family they wanted; so good news for their family, and the preparations and planning were to begin; ONLY to be crushed when the birth mom decided to keep her child. Why this again???
Well, on this past Sunday, the adoption agency called Dave and Sheri and said, IF you can get to New Orleans, LA. by morning then there is a baby boy that can be theirs! So without any planning, the two of them jump on a red eye flight to pick up their baby. So I THOUGHT it was that easy...
Well, we needed Friday to come and have the birth mom sign papers and with the help of her, some higher power with lots of prayers, the birth dad came through and signed the papers as well. This baby could have had two completely different lifestyles; maybe the hood dealing drugs OR a loving family with the support of each other and the gospel. So I am glad and grateful to welcome this sweet baby boy to our Springer Family. He is going to be loved and spoiled, we haven't had a birth on the Springer side since Brayden and he is almost 2. This baby will never be lonely, there are 28 cousins now in the ages of 19 to newborn. There is never a dull moment at our family functions and that is how we love it. Family is important and now I see just how important adoption is and what a difference it can make on a family.
So help me by Welcoming this cute baby home where he belongs:
Can't wait to hold you Issac David and kiss those baby checks of yours. You are one lucky boy and you must be a special spirit to have to deal with this already so young. No need to fear now, you are in good hands and a great family.
