30 years of waiting never felt so good: Father & Son

Alright ladies this is a first for me, in more than one way! Christy always keeps you posted on our family with the blog. But she said this one was all me. Over the weekend our ward had their annual Father & Sons camp out. Now that I have a son I could hardly wait to take Carson to go play in the mountains. I always remember going camping with my Dad and they are memories I will never forget and hope Carson will enjoy them too.

My Dad would always let me pick out what ever junk I wanted at the gas station before going so our first stop was at Maverick for some donuts and Gatorade, I needed the Diet Dew of course.
After eating all the donuts in the car on the ride out we sat down for a Sub Way, that saved me from having to do any cooking. But after the donuts there was not much room the sandwich any way
We decided to go for a hike to look for some fire wood for the fire Dale had already started for everyone. We climbed the fence by the campground and off we went. Look at Carson showing off the nice wood he found.

After throwing the wood into the fire we roasted some marshmallows over the fire. The first experience of roasting did not taste so good, they came out of his mouth faster than they went in!

Sorry again I can't figure out how to type above the last couple pictures, but I hope not many campers wanted to catch a lot of fish, because after all the rocks Carson through in the water I think the fish were hard to come by. I had a blast with Carson and hope next year we can have fun and for many years to come, Thanks Dad for showing me how important things like this can be for a kid!!

Father's & Sons...good for you. Gotta love male bonding time. Great job on posting. Justin wouldn't even have a clue.

Now...Let's talk about your hair...

Remember when we used to joke that you had so much/such coarse hair that the water couldn't even penetrate it?! What up old man?

30's looking good on you. Good thing you married a young spunky wife to keep you young.

Kidding!
Dani
