...Carson and Cassie can follow directions and can write their letters.
See, technically, C&C could be in preschool this year, BUT having one kid in preschool can add up on the budget, let alone two, (I told myself before they were born, that I wasn't going to "punish" them for coming two at a time.) so I was selfish with my money and I didn't put them into preschool. (Guess, I didn't keep my end of the deal with that. Mackenzie and Delaine both had 3 years of preschool; they each have late birthdays)
Well, I have started to notice that some of C&C's friends are writing their names...Shoot! I have made a mistake (not the first time in this thing we call parenthood) and have damaged C&C educational skills FOREVER.
Feeling guilty, I bought the two of them writing tablets.
SCHOOL WORK for the TWO of them AT HOME.
They were excited, but honestly, I wasn't.
I didn't want to commit to this. I am not disciplined enough, but like I said, I was feeling guilty. I didn't want C&C to be the "dumb kid."
Well, Surprisingly, Carson and Cassie are smart little kids.
I mean, I knew that they were smart for the trouble that they could come up with and how they keep me on my toes, but no this time real smart.
They have caught on pretty quick on the letters from their names.
Slowly we will continue to work on the other letters and even numbers.
And it doesn't stop at home, when we go out, they are noticing letters on signs and doors.
***I always knew that Carson and Cassie were smart, but what mother doesn't know that about her own kids. ;) ***
