We are going to catch a Leprechaun, so we need to make a trap...
Here are the girls last night making their traps to catch the Leprechaun.
Delanie said " If you step on a Leprechaun, they wouldn't be so Lucky then." We all giggled and told her that she right. This was a fun project that Lanie needed to do at school, I thought, oh homework for the parents, but with an attitude change, we really did have a fun time.
***I got the idea for the "Trap" while we were at Chilli's and saw their margarita signs...inspirations at it's best...while we ate yummy food: Yeap, what were we thinking Corina;
2 adults and 7 kids!***
Trails of gold chocolate coins from the kids room leading down stairs to the traps.
Carson showing off his gold.
Look at kenzie pile...she put hers in a bag and never to be seen or shared again. She will have it for months and none of us will know will she hides it. A true Leprechaun!
We are all little leperchauns and we all got the gold.
What a fun morning!
Happy St. Patty's Day and show off your Irish...Don't Forget to wear green!
...And to think that Easter is in the same week!

You're good. I don't do St. Patrick's Day celebrating much in my house, except to make corned beef and cabbage. Oh and we wear green. I'm kind of scared of leprechauns anyway, ever since the Darby O'Gill and the Little People incident of 1981.
Oh yes - the leprachan came to our house as well - you have to give them a personal invite...We got the number from the springers last year...Thanks!! - Our house must have been the last one they visited...good thing I woke up early *yikes*
Cute idea. You are so clever.
I am not thinking my kids were impressed with the green pancakes and eggs!
Darby O'Gill..... I hate the banshee!
Jackson had to do this for his class today, make a trap that is. I'll have to post a pic.
ohhh, I think I'll just make corned beef hash pinwheels. NO green food for me unless it is supposed to be green. All I think is mold. *shivers*
the banshee is the debboh!
oh, I totally remember that movie...I think that was the first "horror" show I watched...no wonder I hate scary shows. I will never show that movie to my kids *Oh the memories* There is nothing firece about Darby O'Gill, well maybe his green knickers.
what about Watcher in the Woods... scary!!
That's cute. So no leprechauns in the trap? Just gold? I guess I'm confused how it works.
There is a legend of the leprechauns. That's what I do with my kids each year. You can read about it on my family blog.
What a cute idea! i love it. I'll totally have to remember this for next year...
