Tonight for FHE, We headed up North for our first Bees Baseball game of the season.
Nothing says baseball like having the sun shining, stadium hot dogs, a bag of peanuts, cotton candy, drunk fans, a giant bumble bee, and us together as a family ready for a ol' fashion baseball game.
Front row, right in front of the 3rd base next to the visitor's dugout, was our seats for the three hour game. I never had to watch the game so close, but sitting that close, you surly have to watch for foul balls. It was a fun time, (once the sun went behind the stadium) but I could have gone without Cassie getting pinched in the folding chairs 3 different times. Bless her heart, she just didn't get how to sit still.
I was cheering on the players; hootin' and hollerin' and you could tell that Kenzie and Lanie were getting embarrassed by my actions. They don't know what they are in for with me as their mom, I enjoy each moment. I even got a wink from one of the "other" players when I called out his name. We had a moment; a bond is what we shared. ;)
During the bottom of the 8th, a player from the team came up to Carson and handed him a ball from the game. Carson was pretty excited and talked about it the whole way home till he was quite...A tired boy after a long day had fallen asleep in the car.
The kids are already asking when they can go again.
