The Dog days of Spring:

I am not sure really what that quote means, but I find that the quote is most fitting for this post.

In fact, this post is brought to you by Bentley, our Cocker Spaniel, who is in NEED of his hair cut for the Spring Season (but the stupid snow won't stay away, hence why Bentley is sooooo shaggy.)

With this week being Spring Break, I haven't seen the kids... it is like they are still in school.

With the weather finally staying dry, the kids have been outside first thing in the morning till almost dark.

Today, they were outside in the backyard and I was able to intruded in their play for just a minute to snap a few pictures. I remember being a kid, looking forward to having our Spring Break from school and wanting to play with my friends... ...Wanting to play with anyone who was outside and letting that be the only care of my world. I see that with my own kids. We are lucky to have a neighborhood full of kids to play with. And, today with all the kids in our backyard, I don't know who was more in heaven; me, the kids, or Bentley! Here's to hoping that Spring is here to stay and many more days where the kids will wear themselves out. BUT... I could do without the smell that they kids bring in after they are done playing. Sweaty kids with the mixture of dog and dirt! Some things of Spring I could live without. ;) I hold up my Coke Zero as I type this and toast to Spring and the kids playing outside... it's about freakin' time.
